The Enemy

Trend Hunter’s enemy was that their identity was not as sophisticated as their brand or their audience. How could we help elevate Trend Hunter's excellence in the world of trend forecasting to better reflect their pedigree with blue chip clientele?

Connecting the Dots

Most notable about Trend Hunter is the unbelievably wide ranging and almost disconnected topics and themes that are covered in their core offering online, as well as their direct client services. It is precisely this almost infinite web of interconnected knowledge that makes Trend Hunter, and Future festival, so incredibly powerful. The secret is in understanding how these disparate insights can interact and forecast the future. True trend hunting is connecting the world around us to uncover the patterns that shape the future!

We used this insight to craft a modern and scalable design system with a black-and-white palette, geometric patterns, and a confident palette to add a touch of excitement. The new identity leverages the idea of connecting dots, using geometric patterns and imagery, and its endless permutations allowed the internal design team to continue expanding the brand assets into the future.

Celebrate the future

Trendhunters tentpole event, Future Festival, was already a powerhouse event, held annually in key cities across North America, and welcoming huge guests as keynotes alongside hot startups throughout the country. Each year, clients, prospects attended multi-day events, learning about what the future holds based on the trends of today, from food, fashion and futuristic tech to new global affairs, generational insights and politics, Future Fest was a behemoth of insights tied together beautifully by the Trend Hunter team.

We worked with the core marketing leads to craft a new tone of voice and messaging concept to bring this idea to life in cheeky, punchy copy and visuals that would provide the creative team with a breadth of options and ideas for future advertising.
