The Enemy

For many years the museum was perceived by the community as academic and outdated. Internally the organization lacked the ability to communicate it’s exciting offerings or the design system to show up consistently. A landmark strategic plan identified a critical opportunity to shift the dynamic between the institution and the community, creating a stronger connection to the role the Museum plays not just in the community, but the legacy and culture of London and the surrounding region.

Reframing Art + History

We reframed Museum London as a vibrant cultural hub, alive with curiosity and community. Through a unifying brand story, a new visual  system rooted in the concept of interconnection and an exceptional digital experience, we positioned the museum as a dynamic space where the city’s past and present meet—and where everyone is invited to discover something new.

What they said

Working with Friends & Enemies on our rebrand and website project has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From the very beginning, sitting around the table doing the deep, focused soul-searching work, to the final stages of creative refinement and web development, Ben, Catherine, and team showed up with thoughtfulness, commitment, and genuine care.

They were all-in from day one, and this energy made all the difference. This was a significant project for us, and we’re so grateful to have had F&E on the case. Their collaborative spirit, strategic insight, and practical expertise helped bring our vision to life in ways that felt authentic, fresh, and full of life.
